Web3 Leaders Summit

I had a sponsor booth at the Web3 Leaders Summit on August 22, 2024 in the Spatial.io metaverse. I gave a brief presentation in-world, and I invited everyone who is a content creator to my more in-depth free webinar on August 29. I presented about some building block concepts of accessibility:

I have been building websites as a career since 2000. Contact me to mentor your team about how to design for accessibility & how to prepare content for the web.

Topics I have spoken about before:

  • Accessibility in InDesign and MS Word, and how to export files to create a more accessible PDF
  • How to remediate a PDF for digital accessibility
  • How to work in Google New Sites, Drupal, WordPress, Squarespace, or any content management system for better website accessibility
  • How to structure your content for better digital accessibility
  • How to craft content and link text; structured data and the Plain Language Initiative
  • What is WCAG and Section 508
  • Color contrast considerations in infographics, and in text color choices
  • How to interpret an accessibility audit, and how to prepare for one

How to Work on the Web

In 2017, I started a tutorial blog called How to Work on the Web to post about the formatting and accessibility issues I encountered when putting content on the web. In 2025, while studying for the CPACC exam, I crafted an interactive timeline of our study material on legislation.
